Für das Hofbrauhaus Freising ist der verantwortungsvolle Umgang mit alkoholischen Getränken selbstverständlich – und dieser beginnt frühestens mit 16 Jahren.
A dark top-fermented speciality. Chestnut-coloured and evenly cloudy in the glass with a very stable foam head. The malty aroma reminds of caramel and chocolate and appears with a hint of fruity freshness. Only local ingredients are being used for brewing the extraordinary beer: Malts from South Bavaria, selected hops from Hallertau and brewing water out of our own deep well. And of course with our own yeast „Leo Bavaricus“.
5.4 % al. Vol. / 12° original wort. Pairs perfectly with aromatic cheeses or sweet desserts. Drinking temperature: 8 – 9° C.
Its name refers to the founding year of the brewery. It is an unfiltered, amber coloured, slightly cloudy cellar beer. Aroma is honey-fruit and fine roasted malt aroma. Pairs nicely with roasts, cold meats and cheeses. A composition of local ingredients like three Hallertauer hops Herkules, Perle and Tradition as well as light and dark malts from South Bavaria. Water from our own deep well and with our own bottom-fermented yeast.
